Work Visas Work visas are one of the hardest visas to give general information and also to get. This is for two reasons. 1) Every country has various different requirements 2) There are many different types of work visas. The advice below is for general information only. You will need to check with whichever country you plan to work in for their exact requirements. List of the most commonly requested documents needed to apply for a work permit. 1) An authenticated /notarized copy of your educational qualifications (University/college degree diploma). In the language of the country that you wish to work in. 2) Official invitation letter /contract from your future employer to you. 3) Two professional people who would give references for you to state that you are a good citizen. 4) Police background check. 5) A letter from your current employer stating that you are qualified to do the job that you are going overseas to do. 6) Financial records (do you have any savings etc?) 7) Accommodation address (where will you live when you work?) These are the most common ones that are requested. There are numerous other documents needed but these tend to be country specific. Please have a chat with the consul /embassy staff of the country you will be visiting ( IE You are Indian and you want to work in Australia then please contact the Australian embassy/consulate in India and they should be able to help. If the whole process seems a bit daunting and you want an immigration lawyer to help you then please use: CONSULATE/EMBASSY APPROVED LAWYERS ONLY. I.e. The Australian consulate would recommend using certain lawyers. DO NOT USE ANYONE ELSE. Sorry for the capital letters and bold lettering but we have heard of too many people who have been ripped off by “immigration lawyers”. These people claim to be able to help you, charge you a lot of money and the only work they will do for you, you can do yourself or for a fraction of the cost of what they will charge. If you use Consulate
approved layers then at least you have protection. |
